Dr. Christine Kleffner is a process engineer and a senior researcher at the Cologne Membrane Lab of the University of Applied Sciences in Cologne, Germany. Her R&D is focused on the industrial application of innovative membrane processes to increase energy and resource efficiency in the context of the transformation towards a sustainable circular economy. She specializes in ultra-high-pressure membrane processes for energy-efficient resource recovery from hypersaline brines occurring in production processes or as industrial waste water. Dr. Christine Kleffner also holds several lectureships in the field of process engineering, thermal processes and technical thermodynamics.
